Varied activities such as 90 softball teams incorporating 1200 players, 50 bowling teams, soccer, tennis, dodgeball, volleyball, basketball, football, rugby, ice hockey, skiing, snowboarding, swimming, water polo, rowing, rafting, scuba, wrestling, camping, running, walking, hiking, auto collecting, bicycling, flying, cheerleading, billiards, and dancing are available to West Hollywood's gay & lesbian residents and visitors. The Los Angeles Blades Ice Hockey Team participates in the Gay Games, a gay version of the Olympics, and often plays after Kings Hockey Games at the Los Angeles Staples center. Gay men and lesbian women are extremely active in sports activities worldwide, and the gay West Hollywood area actively participates in this trend.
